This research is a comparative analysis of the speeches of Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen from the point of view of speech strategies and tactics in the context of thematization of political speeches. Along with many well-known factors for choosing speech strategies and tactics, the topics of politicians' speeches also have the potential to act as a selection criterion. The goal is to define speech themes as a factor while choosing certain speech strategies and tactics. The research question is whether it is possible that the topics of speeches are related to the speech strategies and tactics chosen by the authors of the texts. The study concludes that there is some connection between speech strategies and speech topics and that there is no such connection between topics and tactics.
