Measurement of Social Capital of the State Budget Institution of Additional Education

The work is devoted to the measurement of social capital (SC) in the institution of additional education (IAE) in Moscow and the interpretation of the results of this measurement. The novelty of this work is the study and justification of the concept of social capital as part of the system of additional education. In this context, this topic is analysed for the first time in Russia. In the first chapter, the key approaches to the interpretation of the concept of social capital, its structural elements and levels of research are considered. Also, the connection between social capital and community-management in the process of forming a sustainable professional community is recorded. The second Chapter describes the features of institutions of additional education, indicators and success criteria of the IAE, existing in the scientific community, the regulatory documents of the system of additional education and in the local papers companies. In addition, there are the justifications for measuring social capital in the institution of additional education. In the third chapter, tools for measuring SC are discussed, the method for this study is network analysis, which has been previously used in Russian schools. As part of the work, the tool was adapted taking into account the features of the institution of additional education, and the results of social capital measurements in eight structural divisions of the institution of additional education are described.
