Analysis of the Contribution of Organisations of Higher and Vocational Education in the Development of Territories of Advanced Socio-Economic Development of the Siberian Federal District

The purpose of the work is to analyze the contribution of higher and vocational education in the development of territories of advanced socio-economic development of the Siberian Federal District of the Russian Federation. The paper analyzes the emergence and development of territories with a single-industry economy in Russia and abroad, the role of the educational sector in single-industry towns, and considers approaches to assess the contribution of education systems to various spheres of public life. Based on the analysis of existing methods, the criteria for assessing the contribution of educational institutions to the development of territories of advanced socio-economic development of the Siberian Federal District of the Russian Federation are determined. Based on statistical data, the analysis of organizations of higher and vocational education in the territories of advanced socio-economic development of the Siberian Federal District was carried out. To detail the statistical information, interviews were conducted with employees of universities, organizations of vocational education and industrial enterprises in cities with different economic situations. The interview questions were about student recruitment, placement and cooperation with other educational organizations, industrial partners, scientific organizations and city administration. A survey of employees of industrial enterprises made it possible to assess the cooperation of industry with educational organizations.
