The master thesis is devoted to the analysis of the main characteristics of the foreign policy strategies of China and the United States in the South Pacific region since 2016. The author studies the issue of relations of New Zealand and other countries in the region with China and the United States from the historical point of view as well as analyzes their main trends and development prospects in the present times. In addition, using the example of New Zealand, the author raises the question of the impact of Sino-American relations since 2016 on the political and economic development of the South Pacific countries and regional processes.
