In this study, the author pursues the goal of identifying the role of modern Ukrainian nationalist organizations in the evolution of the political regime in Ukraine in the post-Soviet period. The paper suggests that nationalist parties in Ukraine are a significant factor in the political process. In particular, the very fact of their participation in elections among other parties can serve as an indicator of the existence of political and civil freedoms, which make it possible to define the regime as democratic. Further, this significance is quantifiable. It is most clearly revealed in the elections to the Verkhovna Rada. Therefore, the correlation method was used, which can confirm or refute the hypothesis. This choice of topic is due to the fact that the following dichotomy of opinions exists in political thought at the moment: some researchers believe that Ukrainian nationalism is a powerful political force that cannot be ignored (F. Sysyn, K. A. Solovyov, V. Kulyk ), and others that the role of nationalist organizations is not so significant, and Ukrainian nationalism itself is marginal and is weak and incapable of influencing large masses of the people (A. Wilson and supporters). The author of this graduate qualification work finds it extremely interesting and necessary to draw his research attention to the existing contradiction in knowledge. The study is relevant primarily for its topicality, because it analyzes the events of the recent past, which significantly affect the development of modern Ukrainian politics. Even if in modern Ukraine the nationalists have lost some of their influence compared to 2014, they still have sufficient political capital to influence the country's regime and politics.
