Student: Ryabukhina Marina

Supervisor: Tatiana Rivchun

Faculty: Faculty of Creative Industries

Educational Programme: Design (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2021

This project is a study of the typology of style in a particular city of Yekaterinburg. Fashion plays a major role in our lives. Tracking identical trends in the world is especially important. People express themselves through clothing and it is especially interesting to find out the coincidence of styles of people who are unfamiliar to each other. The goal of the project is to document a typology of photographs captured by the project author that focus on the similar style of strangers in certain selected locations. Thus, the main method used in the production of the project is photography, namely full-length portraits, since they allow you to see similarities or some differences in the fashion that the participants of the typology prefer. The expected result is the creation of a modern typology of style in photographs, which would show the preference of people in the choice of clothing in different communities. To determine the diversity of typologies in the history of photography, a visual study was conducted with analysis as the main method.
