This research investigates the effect of parental involvement in the educational process of children through the effects of family financial and non-financial resources on USE results in general subjects. The study conducts an econometric analysis of data containing information about the individual characteristics of a student, the characteristics of his family, the involvement of his parents in the educational process. As a result of the analysis, the financial factors of the family were negatively associated with the child's USE results. This could mean that the main role of investments in additional preparation for the USE is to enhance educational outcomes where non-financial factors were insufficient. Moreover, investments in additional prepare do not allow the average to achieve results higher than those of children who did not have or had additional training with lower volume. The role of non-financial (parental education, parental involvement in the educational process) family factors at the school stage of a child's education is positive and higher than the role of financial factors.
