In the XXI century, a large number of companies have appeared that are fundamentally different from those that were founded in the last century. The success of these companies cannot be explained through the old paradigms, because their explosive growth was largely due to the Internet technology, which began to be actively used only 20-25 years ago. One of the tools that appeared along with the emergence of such IT-oriented companies was the business model. A business model is a framework that allows to easily understand what needs to be changed in the company's work to respond to changing market demands, by analyzing the components of its activities in turn. The purpose of this work is to prepare a list of recommendations for the elaboration of an updated business model and development program for the MTS Library project. To achieve this goal, we have set several tasks: 1) to study the theoretical foundations of the development of the project business model, 2) to analyze the current business models of projects, 3) to consider the theoretical foundations of the development of the project development program, 4) to study the activities of the MTS Library project, 5) to prepare recommendations for the elaboration of an updated business model and the development program for the MTS Library project. In the course of the work, the following results were achieved: 1) By compiling the provisions of the resource and transactional approach, the definition of the term business model was given and its difference from other similar concepts from the business environment was described. Moreover, various options for building an organization's business model were considered, the most popular of which (Osterwalder and Pigneur's outline) was described in detail, indicating the features of each of the blocks of the scheme. 2) 55 types of business models that have been successfully used by organizations in the market over the past 25 years were considered. A brief description was given for each of these types, and an algorithm for working with them was also described. 3) Such a tool as an integrated management system was considered, which allows one to synchronize the processes of strategic, tactical and operational planning with the process of developing new business models. 4) The history of the MTS Library project development, its position in the hierarchy of MTS PJSC, the key competitors of the project and the e-book market in which it operates were described. The features of the customer base of the service, its key functions, the structure of the team and the features of its promotion were also considered. Based on the information provided, the current business model of the MTS Library was built, which later served as a starting point for the development of new business models. 5) Using the similarity principle, companies and services operating in markets similar to the MTS Library market (the e-book market) were analyzed for the use of 55 modern business models. Based on the results obtained, 3 new business models were developed for the MTS Library project, which were named "Ecosystem Product", "First-class Book Service" and "Book Platform". Further, for each of the developed business models, the specific actions necessary for their implementation were described.
