Development and Implementation of a System for the Sale of Express Guarantees

Today banks are the leaders in digital transformation in Russia. Information technology (IT) plays an important role in the work of banking institutions and is a determining criterion for the quality of their services. IT allows you to develop sophisticated innovative products, improve market infrastructure, apply robust risk control techniques, and help financial institutions reach geographically distant and diversified markets. Digitalization has significantly influenced the way banking services are provided. Digital technologies have also changed the range of banking products and services provided. The banking industry today is highly competitive, therefore, in order to survive and develop in the market environment, banks are actively using the latest technologies. These technologies help banks to attract new customers, improve operational efficiency and even increase profits. The purpose of this work is to develop and implement a system for the sale of a banking product - express guarantees. The first chapter of this work discusses the features of working with bank guarantees, types of guarantees. The role of information technologies in the banking industry is determined. The key technologies of digital transformation in the banking industry have been studied. The relevance of digital transformation for the bank is determined. The second chapter of the work is devoted to the consideration of the object of research, i.e. Bank. It primarily examines the scope of the Bank's activities, then a register of project stakeholders is prepared, then artifacts are developed for stakeholders - its environment, mission, strengths and weaknesses are analyzed, a motivational model, key indicators, organizational structure and architecture of the bank segment are formed, and also describes all business processes (as is) of the sale of bank guarantees. In the third chapter of the work, the target model of the business process (to be) is considered, the target diagram of the infrastructure of the bank segment is given, the requirements for the bank's systems being modified are formed, the layouts of the system screens are developed, the architectural solution of the express guarantee sales system is developed. This work is a real project implemented at the Bank in August 2020. The project was part of the Bank's strategic innovation program.
