Digital Transformation in a Pandemic World: a Case Study

The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted all areas of society, it has prompted companies to change business processes and conduct digital transformation. In this thesis, the author analyzed the experience of switching to a remote mode of work in a bank, she compared three architectures for remote desktop access and evaluated flexibility and safety. The scientific novelty of the research is analysis of the experience of companies in transferring employees to a remote mode of work because quarantine provoked an increase in demand for the use of systems, the development and widespread implementation of architectures for remote access. However, the transition to remote mode for companies was forced and unprepared and it affected data security. As a result, the author was developed the instructions for constructing an IT strategy related to remote connection. Also, the author carried out a comparative characteristic of architectural remote connection, which were used in the bank before the pandemic, in the first month of the introduction of quarantine and a modified version of the architecture after several months of remote work. In this paper the author highlighted the main criteria that need to be considered when developing a remote connection as part of the company's IT strategy. This thesis consists of a list of titles, an introduction, the main part containing 3 chapters, a conclusion, the list of references and application. The total amount of work in 56 pages.
