The Impact of the Surrealism on the Creative Path of A. Remisov

This work examines the work of the emigrant writer A.M. Remizov from a multifaceted point: we consider his personal diaries, correspondence, albums from archival sources and the autobiographical novel "The Teacher of Music". The purpose of this work is to trace the connection between the writer's work and the practices of the surrealists of the first half of the 20th century. In the peculiarities of the interweaving of sleep and reality, bilingualism, the writer's creative practices (graphics and text, as a combination). The choice of the theme is connected with the unique style of writing and drawing of A.M. Remizov and the possibility that Remizov's practices preceded those of the surrealists.
