Nowadays inter-firm cooperation has become an important tool in the battle against growing global competition, as well as in increasing technological potential and innovation. About 80% of companies are looking for opportunities for joint partnerships, but over the past three years only 60% manage to successfully implement them. The object of this research is the Cotton Club company - one of the leaders of the Russian market in the production and distribution of cotton and hygiene products with its own production facilities in Russia, Poland and Latvia. There are already strategic partnerships on this market – these are connections between manufacturers, suppliers, and buyers. These relationships allow companies to gain competitive advantages. At the same time, the need to expand partnerships and use cooperation tools in order to achieve a synergistic effect is constantly growing. The sphere of production and sale of consumer goods can be characterized as highly competitive with high turnover, while often low-profitable. This becomes an incentive for the company to form trusting and productive partnerships with other companies along with the implementation of its main goals. Then companies that successfully build partnerships will maximize their benefits in the future business environment. This paper narrows down the problem of partnership development and focuses on two important elements of the value chain: inter-firm partnerships in production and distribution. These two areas are the subject of research. The purpose of the work is to develop recommendations for improving inter-firm partnerships for the Cotton Club company. The first chapter examines inter-firm partnerships in the modern system of economic relations, provides classifications and models of inter-firm relations. The second chapter provides a comprehensive assessment of the Cotton Club company and its environment. Statistics on the market of hygiene and cosmetics are provided, and the success factors of the current system of partnerships are determined. The third chapter reflects the prospects for the development of the structure of inter-firm partnerships of the Cotton Club company, based on the effectiveness of the current structure. The factors that change the structure of Cotton Club partnerships are determined. In conclusion, the results of the work are summarized and generalizing conclusions are made.
