Client-server Application for Indoor Navigation Based on Augmented Reality. Mobile Application

This work is part of a group project to create a service for indoor navigation. The service consists of two main components: a web service and a mobile application. With the help of a web service, owners of premises who want to support navigation for visitors in their buildings design a diagram of their buildings, marking up each room. This text document is dedicated to the part of the mobile application that is intended for visitors to the premises. You can use it to select a room and plot a route using augmented reality. The paper examines the existing approaches to solving the problem of navigation inside buildings, as well as the limitations that visitors to large buildings now have to face. A comparison of competitors is given, their advantages and disadvantages are described, as well as from this comparison, it is concluded which format of the solution is most preferable for users. The paper describes the methods used to solve the problem of positioning in space using mobile devices in the context of the problem being solved. It describes how augmented reality is used in the application and what are the trends in this direction in general. The paper describes the selected tools and methodologies, provides the implementation of important components of the program.The work contains 51 pages, 3 chapters, 24 figures, 8 code listings, 16 sources.
