Development of a Long-Term Strategy for the Paper Planes Consulting Agency

Managing a firm that provides professional services is very different from managing B2C or, for example, manufacturing companies. The main feature is that the relationship with professional service firms (hereinafter referred to as PSF) is based on trust, which is based on the client's confidence in the competence of key employees of the company, the agency's experience in implementing projects and the effectiveness of the recommendations developed by the company. The company Paper Planes Consulting Agency (hereinafter abbreviated as Paper Planes) has been operating in the market of professional services for about 11 years and belongs to the category of non-industry companies engaged in management consulting. PSFs are divided into industry and non-industry firms. In addition to consulting firms, non-industry PSFs include: law firms, companies that provide audit services, HR consulting, procedural consulting, and advertising agencies.[1] As part of this work, a system of recommendations will be developed that will help Paper Planes Consulting Group achieve the company's long-term goals of becoming the first tier company in the field of management consulting. Object of research: Paper Planes Consulting Agency Subject of research: business processes of Paper Planes Consulting Agency Research objectives: * conduct an industry analysis * make a benchmark * describe current business processes * identify problem areas * develop new business processes * develop a strategy for implementing new business processes Research methods: • benchmark * content analysis of industry publications and reports * analysis of information on the company's website • internal company data • in-depth interviews * using models and frameworks: PEST analysis, SWOT analysis, 5 Porter forces • Customer Journey Map Practical significance: The strategy developed in this paper can be implemented in stages almost from the moment of its creation. Main sources of information: 1) In-depth interviews 2) Internal documents 3) Official websites and social networks of competitors and Paper Planes Consulting Agency 4) Literature related to the construction of business processes 5) Literature related to the development of marketing strategies 6) Literature related to the management of professional service firms
