The International Association for Research in Income and Wealth (IARIW), in partnership with HSE University is organising the conference Experiences and Challenges in Measuring Income and Wealth in Eastern Europe and CIS Countries which will take place at HSE University in Moscow on September 17-18, 2019. The conference is supported by the Interstate Statistical Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS Stat) and the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation (Rosstat). This will be the first conference that the IARIW has organized in any country of the former Soviet Union.
The objective of this conference is to advance our understanding of issues related to national accounts, prices, productivity, income and wealth distribution, poverty, and economic wellbeing in the countries of Eastern Europe and of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) by examining past experiences with analysing these variables and identifying future measurement challenges.
