On July 3, 2026, an interim meeting was held to review the results of the first half of the second year of the project "Internationalization of Companies from Developing Countries: The Role of Intellectual Resources in Response to Exogenous Shocks". The project is carried out within the framework of the HSE University "International Academic cooperation" grant competition. The project leader is Maria Molodchik, Professor at HSE University – Perm.

An international team of researchers, including scientists from HSE University–St Petersburg, has developed microlasers that emit deep-ultraviolet light at a wavelength of 255 nanometres. The devices operate at room temperature, and the smallest of them measures just two micrometres in diameter—roughly the size of a bacterium. These microlasers could be used in sensors, spectroscopic systems, photonic chips, and communication devices. The paper has been published in Optics & Laser Technology.

These questions were at the heart of the international forum ‘Reconfiguring Education in a Changing World: Russia–China Dialogues on Higher Education, Skills, and Research Training’, held in China in mid-June. The event was jointly organised by the HSE Institute of Education and the Graduate School of Education of Peking University, which hosted the forum on its campus.

#МАСотрудничествоFrom June 9 to 11, 2026, the University of Campinas (Brazil) hosted the 5th BRICS Postgraduate Forum, dedicated to the sustainable development of BRICS countries. The 2026 Forum theme was "BRICS and Sustainable Development in a Multipolar World: Governance, Innovation, and Market Transformation". The event brought together over 100 students, postgraduate researchers, early-career scholars, and experts from BRICS nations to discuss pressing issues of sustainable development, global economic transformation, and international cooperation.

On May 13, Viktoria Denisova presented her talk “Distorted Conditionals: A Relevance-Theoretic Account” at the Center for Logic, Epistemology, and the History of Science at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP, Brazil).

On April 24, 2026, the HSE Campus in Perm hosted the XIII "Neighbors in Research" research conference, where members of the "International Academic Cooperation" project presented research in several key areas.

On April 20, 2026, the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs hosted a seminar of the International Academic Cooperation Project “Approaches to an Alternative International Monetary System” on the topic “BRICS: International Trade and Settlements in National Currencies”. The seminar featured a presentation by Vipin Veetil, Associate Professor at the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode.

The HSE University International Laboratory for Mirror Symmetry and Automorphic Forms and the Beijing Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Applications (BIMSA) held a joint online conference on mathematical physics. The results of the laboratory research presented at the event will be published in leading academic journals.

On April 4, in a three-hour workshop, participants went from the initial idea to creating an interactive prototype for presenting the results.On April 4, an online master class, "Digital researcher: no-code tools for working with data", was held as part of the project "Integrated platform solutions for preserving and promoting cultural heritage (using Samarkand and St. Petersburg as an example)" within the "International Academic Cooperation" program.
