Programme Requirements
To apply for the Master of Science programme in Mathematics candidates must have, or expect to have by the end of August, a Bachelor of Science diploma (or equivalent) in Mathematics, Theoretical Physics, Computer Science or related fields. In addition they are expected to have a strong interest in pure mathematics or mathematical physics and to have a record of extra-curricular activities in this field.
Some of the previous years' entrance exams (intended for Russian citizens only) may be of interest to international students as well to estimate the average entrance level at our programme:
International applicants are requested to submit an application package. There is no requirement to take any entrance exams.

- Application form
- Resume/CV
- Letter of motivation (1-2 pages)
- Scans of diplomas and academic transcripts
- Two letters of recommendation (at least one from someone who is familiar with your academic work)
- Scan of English proficiency exam results (IELTS or TOEFL) *

* Applicants who are graduates of B.Sc. programmes, on which the official language of instruction was English, are exempt from providing a language certificate.
