(Previously, Master's in Nanoelectronics and Quantum Technologies)
The Master's programme is being offered by the Tikhonov Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics jointly with the research institutes of Rostec, Roscosmos, Rosatom and the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS). We train highly skilled specialists who can be competitive on both the Russian and global job markets.
The programme’s curriculum includes research, development, production and application of the latest electronic technologies in communication and telecommunications systems, information display and processing systems, as well as research in advanced technologies such as quantum computing, quantum communications and quantum sensors.
On August 9, a Soyuz 2.1b rocket launched with a payload of HSE University’s second satellite, which will monitor the land surface of the Arctic region. HSE MIEM Deputy Director Andrey Abrameshin spoke about the university’s space plans, while Top Class competition winner Alexey Gilenko shared his impressions of the launch at Baikonur Cosmodrome.
Sixteen HSE University students are among the winners of the Student Startup Competition organised by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation and the Innovation Assistance Foundation. The winners will receive one million rubles each to develop their business projects. One of the winners was HSE MIEM student Maxim Bezel, who presented the financial game ‘Game of Projects’.
Six HSE MIEM educational programmes have been accredited by the Association for Engineering Education of Russia (AEER). The accredited programmes have been awarded the EUR-ACE® label and the Washington Accord certificate.
