Seminar "The Assessor Effect: Why the results of a skills development program for youth with mental disabilities by its end were negative?"

We invite you to take part in the seminar of the International Laboratory for Social Integration Research!

The seminar will be held online on April 22 at 5:20 p.m. (Moscow time).

ILSIR researcher Danila Ivanov and NGO social impact researcher Ivan Smekalin will talk about the results of the analysis of instruments for assessing the development of adolescents and young people.

The seminar will address the problem of social effects that accompany assessment, using the case of measuring the effectiveness of a skills development program among youth with mental disabilities. Quantitative metrics showed that by the end of the program, skill development had decreased for most participants. The workshop will discuss what explanations exist for this effect and what assessment methods can be used to avoid it.
