HSE University Extends the Rent Reimbursement Programme for the Next Academic Year

he university has published regulations on rent reimbursement for students who have decided to move from the university dorm to an apartment. This year, graduate and doctoral students will only be able to extend the reimbursement for the next academic year if they already received it in 2020/2021. The amount will be 10,000 roubles monthly from September 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022.

Students who enrol in master’s programmes or doctoral programmes in 2021 won’t be able to apply for reimbursement extension. Instead, students can use the alternative housing service offered by the Student Housing Office.

Who is eligible for the reimbursement?

Students who will be in their second, third, fourth or fifth year of undergraduate studies, second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth year of a specialist’s programme, second year of master’s studies or in a doctoral programme during the period of reimbursement (from September 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022), except for those whose studies end on November 1, 2021 and first-year doctoral students.

At the moment of selection, all applicants must be included in the order ‘On the Provision of Financial Support to Students and Doctoral Students at National Research University Higher School of Economics to Compensate for their Expenses for Residing Outside of HSE University Dormitories in the 2020/2021 Academic Year’.

All applicants must be full-time students and not be on a maternity leave or a sabbatical.

Graduates who apply for master’s programmes in 2021 and master’s graduates who apply for doctoral programmes in 2021 cannot apply for reimbursement extension. If needed, they are welcome to use the alternative housing service offered by the Student Housing Office.

When can I apply for the selection?

Applications will be accepted from June 15, 2021 to July 15, 2021.

How can I apply?

Students who meet the requirements can submit their application in their MyHSE account (lk.hse.ru).

When will the results be announced?

Lists of students eligible for reimbursement extension will be published within five working days after the submission deadline on the webpage of the Office for Dormitory, Guesthouse and Recreation Centre Management
