From 9th till 13th of September on the base of the ILSCR, the short training course (workshop) “Psychology of migration processes” took place. The course was a part of the training program of the ILSCR “Advanced theory and methodology in social sciences”.

On 12-13 of September 2013 has been held International Symposium " Empirical Transformation Research after Unification in Germany: State of the Art and what can other countries learn". Staff of International Scientific-Educational Laboratory for Socio-Cultural Research made presentations during the session "Culture and economic development".
On 12 of September on scientific seminar "Culture matters", Eugene Tartakovsky, Lecturer of School Social Work in Tel-Aviv University, Israel, made a presentation on following topic: " Personal Value Preferences and Attitudes toward People with Disabilities: People Living with HIV, Intellectual Disability, and Severe Mental Illness".
The ESRA (European Survey Research Association) Conference took place in Ljubljana (Slovenia) on 15-19 of July. For more information about this event look at conference website.
On 19th of June has been held seminar from series "Culture Matters" with new Dean of Psychology department Vasily Klucharev. He presented a report on following topic: "A Big Brother in the brain: neuroeconomics of social influence on our decision-making". Neuroeconomics is a new field that combines economics, psychology and neuroscience.
The INSNA congress (International Network for Social Network Analysis) took place in Hamburg (Germany) on 21-26 of May. Lusine Grigoryan, junior researcher of ILSCR, participated in 16th congress of the European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology, organized in University of Munster, Germany.
By results of competition for participation in the Summer School "Designing, performing and presenting social psychology and sociology research: From initial questions to publication", 22 participants were selected.
On May 16 has been held a seminar in series "Culture Matters". During this seminar Elena Omelchenko, PhD, Associate Professor of the UNESCO Moscow Institute of Open Education, General Director of the "Ethnosphere", made a presentation on following topic "Language and socio-cultural adaptation of international migrants through education."
In May 2013 personnel of ILSCR – Lusine Grigoryan, Maria Efremova and Ekaterina Bushina – took part in advanced training program organized by Social Research Association in Edinburgh, Scotland.
