Ace of Diamonds — Oleg Tselkov Solo Exhibition at the Ekaterina Foundation

As part of the its exhibition series featuring works by leading Russian artists, the Ekaterina Cultural Foundation presents a solo exhibition of Oleg Tselkov’s work, timed to coincide with his eightieth birthday.

As part of the its exhibition series featuring works by leading Russian artists, the Ekaterina Cultural Foundation presents a solo exhibition of Oleg Tselkov’s work, timed to coincide with his eightieth birthday.

One of the most exceptional Soviet Nonconformist artists, Oleg Tselkov has had a remarkable and difficult creative career: from underground exhibitions to world fame. Nowadays Oleg Tselkov is one of the most renowned Russian artists on the international art scene. His works are in the collections of the State Hermitage museum, the Stedelijk museum (Amsterdam), the Tretyakov gallery, the Pushkin State museum of Fine Arts, the Russian museum, the Zimmerli Art museum at Rutgers University (New Jersey, USA), and many other  notable state and private collections.

More than 45 works are being displayed in the Foundation halls, covering his work between 1968 and 2011, and includes pieces from the author’s collection, private collections, and state museum collections. It is the first comprehensive exhibition of Tselkov’s work in Moscow, and includes both early paintings and more recent works.

The exhibition is open until August 10, 2014.
