Look into the Eyes of War. Russia in the First World War: Newsreel, Photos, Documents
The exposition gives a full view of Russia’s participation in WWI. It uses cutting-edge multimedia and interactive technologies, as well as archive documents, real photo prints, and a series of short films specially created for the exhibition with the use of archive newsreel. Visitors will also see maps of battles; hear authentically performed military marches and songs from the early 20th century, and see holographic images of the ‘most recent’ military equipment used in WWI.
The exposition also includes paintings from the Imperial War Museum in London, the State Tretyakov Gallery, and the State Russian Museum, as well as numerous works from private collections.
This will be the largest exhibition in Moscow dedicated to the anniversary of the First World War.
Open from August 29 to September 28, 2014.
