About the Programme

The programme is aimed at training young leaders capable of making responsible decisions in a rapidly changing digital business environment, managing functional units and projects in the structure of modern companies, creating and developing entrepreneurial projects.

In December 2021 the Business Administration programme received the prestigious international accreditation EFMD Accredited. The system of accreditation of educational programmes in the field of management, business schools and corporate universities according to EFMD quality standards is considered to be one of the most prestigious in the modern world. This high recognition from EFMD of the international quality level of education in the programme is a convincing confirmation of HSE leadership in the development of specialized undergraduate programmes.

Opportunities provided by the programme

Independent choice of professional development trajectory. In Year 3, students of the programme may study major disciplines that match their individual professional interest by choosing one of three specializations, including:
— Entrepreneurship
— International Business
— Financial Management

Gaining project work experience. Students of the programme can gain applied experience in project work, realized in the format of course projects (which takes one fifth of the entire curriculum), due to mandatory course projects on the materials of business cases of employers (including SWOT-analysis, business plan, consulting project, etc.).
Entrepreneurial Environment. According to a study by the Internal Monitoring Center of the National Research University Higher School of Economics 2021 among all undergraduate programmes of HSE, the Business Administration programme has the highest number of current and potential entrepreneurs among the number of students.
Disciplines in English and international mobility. About 40% of the disciplines offered in the programme are implemented in English. In addition, all courses, as well as the writing and defense of the graduate thesis for the International Business specialization, are taught in English. Students can strengthen their English language skills by participating in popular international mobility programs at foreign partner universities.
Scholarship support. The most successful students of the programme, who study both on a fee-paying basis and state-funded place, have an opportunity to apply for a scholarship of Otkritie Bank based on the results of an open competition. In addition, participants of international mobility programs can also apply for scholarship support from GSB.
Practice-validated training. The Academic Committee of the programme consists of experts and managers of leading Russian companies (IC Rosgosstrakh, Otkritie Bank, Reksoft Consult and others). Members of the Academic Committee participate in the development and approval of the programme's curriculum and programs of academic disciplines, validate the graduate's profile with market expectations, create additional opportunities for internships and work placements for programme students, involve business representatives in teaching on the programme, and much more.

The advantages of studying with teachers working in three professional tracks. There are more than 150 HSE professors working on the Business Administration programme. Due to HSE's innovative career model, the programme employs not only research professors, but also teachers of the educational and methodological track, who create high-quality and relevant online courses, business games, educational cases, and, most importantly, teachers who came from business, teachers-practitioners.
First-hand specialized knowledge. Managers from leading Russian and global companies enrich the educational process of students on the programme through knowledge and skills on advanced concepts and best management practices. For example, at the first year at the career guidance seminar Managerial Profession in the Modern World students listen to master classes from top managers of such major companies as VK, VTB, Gazpromneft, etc. This is especially valuable in the case of specialized disciplines, for example, students of the programme can study the course Risk Management from representatives of the Risk Department of Otkritie Bank, and experienced consultants of major Russian and international companies participate in seminars and defenses of management consulting projects, etc.
