At HSE School of Foreign Languages internshipsare part of the undergraduate curriculum.
Internships are held for 4 weeks at the end of module 3 of the 3rd year.
The School of Foreign Languages scouts and negotiates internship options and concludes agreements with institutions hosting student internships. The Internship Supervisor appointed by the School of Foreign Languages makes decisions about individual student placements taking into account students’ CVs and the results of preliminary interviews and tests conducted by the potential host institutions.
Some students may find their own placements, submitting a certificate from the institution, organization or company to confirm its agreement to host the internship. The document is for the Study Office to assign the place for internship to the student.
Before the internships start, the Internship Supervisors hold orientation sessions for the students in particular areas of specialization and give students individual assignments.
As a student completes the individual assignment and some practical tasks given during their work placement, the student’s internship log is filled.
Once the internship is over, students submit their internship reports and internship logs including a review of the student’s performance, prepared by the internship supervisor at the host institution.
