HSE Among Top Five Universities with Highest Paid Graduates
The Higher School of Economics was ranked fifth among Russian universities with the highest paid graduates during their first year of employment, according to data from an employment monitoring study by the Russian Ministry of Education and Science. On average, graduates who completed a full-time undergraduate programme at HSE make 51,700 rubles per month, which is up from previous years and nearly double the average for the country as a whole.
HSE the Only Russian University in ARWU Global Ranking in Sociology, Political Sciences, and Economics
HSE has entered the ShanghaiRanking's Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) in four subjects and become the only Russian university in three of them (sociology, political sciences, and economics). HSE is among the world’s Top 75 universities in Sociology. This is the first time HSE has made it into the ARWU.
HSE Enters Top-250 in THE Best Universities in Europe for 2017
On June 21, 2017, Times Higher Education (THE) published its ranking of the best universities in Europe 2017, in which HSE, along with St. Petersburg State University, Novosibirsk State University, National Research Nuclear University MEPhI and Kazan Federal University, is ranked in the 201-250 group.

has been taken by HSE in a Russian university ranking of the salaries earned by graduates in Finance & Economics. This ranking was prepared by the Superjob.ru research centre, based on a comparison of the average wages earned by Russians who graduated university in 2011 – 2016.

HSE Best Teachers Election Starts
From May 29 to June 18 students can vote for HSE’s best teachers of the academic year. This year there is no need to come to the university to vote. Students can submit their scores online via LMS.

HSE Success in Research Performance Rankings in 8 Subject Areas
HSE has been ranked one of the top 15 universities by research performance in 8 subject areas, compiled by the Expert Analytical Centre in 2016. HSE took the first place in three subjects: Economics, Social Sciences and Humanities.

XVIII April Conference to Discuss ‘Hidden Champions’, Building Social Networks, and the Economics of Sport
From April 11 to 14, HSE is holding its XVIII April International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development. Conference Programme Committee members Fuad Alekserov and Andrei Yakovlev discuss the key themes and main reports that will be presented at the conference. This conference will draw around 2,000 people, including 200 international participants.
