The influence of cross-cultural factors on the HR management standards and practices in Novotel Moscow Centre

<p>This research is about an&nbsp; influence of cross-cultural factors on the content of the standards and practices of human resource management in the hotel Novotel Moscow Centre. The work consists of four chapters:</p><p>1. Theoretical approaches to the definition of cross-cultural factors influencing the standards and practices of human resource management</p><p>2. The methodology of the study</p><p>3. Characteristics of standards and practices of human resource management in the hotel Novotel Moscow Centre</p><p>4. The analysis of the research results.</p><p>The study consisted of three phases: &nbsp;</p><p>1. Analysis of the content standards for HRM</p><p>2. Semiformalized conducting interviews</p><p>3. Conducting a questionnaire survey.</p><p>The paper also identified research hypotheses:</p><p>1. Cross-cultural factors influencing the content of HRM practices, but are not declared in a the standard of the Hotel</p><p>2. An awareness of importance of the cross-cultural factors in the standards and practices of HRM differs from HR department employee and workers who have direct contact with hotel guests</p><p>3. Most significant HRM practices, which should take into account cross-cultural factors, for hotel workers who have direct contact with guests, is training (and, above all, conducting cross-cultural training).</p><p>The study itself can be termed as quantitative and qualitative.</p><p>For the analysis of documents and interview results used qualitative method - a content analysis. In other words, the search for the keywords and phrases that are common (open) for certain cross-cultural factors studied in the first chapter of the study.</p><p>To analyze the results of the questionnaire used a quantitative method of data processing in Excel program.</p><p>At the end of Chapter 4 provides recommendations for improving the content of the existing standards and practices of HRM in the Novotel Moscow Centre.</p><p>In conclusion the general conclusions, assesses the study.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>
