Analysis of Tourist Information Websites Usability

In this paper, a review of various studies aimed at developing websites valuation models was made, they will be taken into account for the purpose of consolidating the theoretical knowledge in the field of study and selection of the most relevant models for estimating the efficiency of the site of the tourist portal. The author describes the use of two different methods of website usability analysis and applies them to assess at a specific resource with further analysis and comparison of the collected results. On the basis of data analysis the author formulates recommendations for improving the usability of the web site test on the main components: the navigation, content and design. The aim is to analyze the usability of the main tourist portal of St. Petersburg to further develop the list of practical recommendations to improve it. To achieve this goal the following objectives: to analyze the literature; to explore the concept of website usability and describe the methods of assessment, to put into practice the different methods of analysis of the usability of a particular web site and collect the data, analyze the collected data using statistical methods of data processing. Was madepractical recommendations to improve the usability of the main tourist portal of St. Petersburg. Comparative analysis of the data in the second chapter and the analysis of secondary data from published sources provided the basis for the development of a list of practical recommendations to improve the usability of the tourist portal of St. Petersburg. Recommendations are made in three key areas, each of which corresponds to the three components of usability, which have been identified based on the results of the research. It is expected that the implementation of these recommendations will lead to an increase in site usability, so these improvements can influence the choice of Saint-Petersburg as a tourist destination users.
