Nowadays, management of the supply chains seems for large companies as the main business activity. Above all large companies, logistics has a great importance for international companies, which operates in several international markets. Such companies need to meet demand in their finished goods in different locations, without increasing net cost by the reason of high distribution or warehouse fees. However, a situation with small and medium companies is not equivalent. Often, there is a lack of the time and people at small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and owners of these companies do not pay enough attention to the logistics activities first hand. Due to that, when SMEs start to cross the border they face sufficient problems with supplement goods to several countries simultaneously and suffer losses. Taking this into account, specifics of SCM strategies for SMEs were investigated in this paper. We found out that not all specifics highlighted in the literature are distinctive for all SMEs.
