Analysis and Improvement of Corporate Culture in Divisional Structures on the Example of JSC "Kalugskij zavod "Remputmash"

In recent years, a lot of attention has been paid to the problems of the formation of corporate culture in organizations both among scientists and among professional managers. Investigations are conducted in companies with various level to understand the type of corporate culture that has developed and to take measures to improve it, because of the fact that the importance of a properly formed corporate culture has been proved both by foreign and domestic authors. However, more interest is given to companies with a linear-functional type of organizational structure, but studies in the field of companies with a divisional structure are not conducted. In this paper, a study was carried out at JSC “Kaluzhskij zavod “Remputmash”, a strategic partner of Russian Railways, in order to analyze the corporate culture in the company with a divisional type of organizational structure, as well as its improvement and development. To achieve this goal, approaches to the definition of corporate culture, its typology and function were studied, typology of organizational structures, and methods for diagnosing corporate culture were analyzed. Based on the data obtained as a result of diagnosing the corporate culture in five divisions of the company using the “Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument OCAI” and individual interview, differences in the formation of the culture of various divisions were revealed. The results of the analysis made it possible to formulate conclusions and give practical recommendations to the improvement of corporate culture in the JSC “Kaluzhskij zavod “Remputmash”.
