In today's era, with the continuous development of science and technology, the media has also undergone rapid changes. Relying on advanced scientific and technological tools, new media are rapidly emerging, and online and mobile media are emerging in an endless stream, which has a great impact on traditional print media. This dilemma of traditional print media seems to be more visible in China, where digitalization is booming. In just a few short years, China's traditional print media have been defeated in "competition" with online media. The audience market is shrinking, advertising is also shrinking from year to year, and the survival space is shrinking dramatically. Faced with a challenge from emerging online media, China's print media has faced its biggest crisis since its inception. But rivalry is not a solution to the problem and will only worsen the current situation. Given that online media were short term and underdeveloped, they also have many challenges and disadvantages. Although the print media are technically and ideologically backward, they have a long history and rich experience. Thus, only the integration of traditional print media and online media (and new media), complementing each other with advantages and sharing the fruits of development, is a real solution to the problem, and this is in the interests of both parties. How should the Chinese print media take advantage of this opportunity under these circumstances? How to implement advanced technologies and concepts? How do you find the development method that's right for you? These questions are worth pondering. In the process of merging with new media, we must take seriously any misunderstandings and issues that need to be addressed. Only by solving these problems can our traditional print media be integrated with online media led by new media. Only in this way can China's print media develop better. The dissertation first combed the history and development of China's print media and then analyzed the impact of new media and other online media on print media. And with the help of specific examples, «Changjiang Commercial Daily» analyzed the development of the integration of new and old media, with this content, it is possible to summarize the development trends of China's print media. Finally, the dissertation puts forward suggestions to help the development of China's print media, hoping to help transform and develop China's print media and overcome difficulties.
