The Digital Dimension of Indonesia's Current Multilateral Economic Diplomacy in ASEAN

This research has begun by describing the context and background of why Digital economic diplomacy is a critical study for the Indonesian government today during competition in trade, investment, and digital infrastructure at all levels of relations or interactions between Indonesia and the international community and the ASEAN. In the policies of the Indonesian government are improving the performance of economic diplomacy is one of the crucial priorities in foreign policy even though this concept is still interpreted in reality partially. Digital economic diplomacy never takes place in an empty room but is always influenced by domestic economic, political, and socio-cultural conditions and global and regional economic developments. Therefore this research seeks to make a general picture of the economic condition of the Indonesian government as well as the current priorities of digital economic development, which emphasize infrastructure and the development of environmentally friendly commodity exports so that they can be recognized in the markets of developed countries, especially near ASEAN countries. Therefore, Indonesia's economic diplomacy needs to reorganize so that it becomes a policy that is not sectoral but holistic and integrated as part of the globalization and regionalization strategy to realize the interests of national economic development.
