Data or Digital Body is a human body that exists only in contact with virtual environment. It is characterized by its ability and tendency to reproduction: it can be cloned, transformed and is constantly filled with information. From being an object it obtains a certain independency and itself becomes a subject. Because of this our physical body loses its traditional boundaries obtaining better qualities. Artists respond keenly to the modern being of a human body which is already inseparable from the virtual environment, they are fascinated by the phenomenon, which arises from the interaction with computer technologies, of a new human being with a digital body which doesn’t have any limits. According to the concept of an artist and a pioneer of artistic experiments with different technological interpretations of a “post human” body Lynn Hershman, our Digital Body is only an extention of our physical body which is not able to achieve its fullest potential with the virtual environment. In the course of the research artistic methods, which realize the possibilities and the visual image of Digital Body most comprehensively, were discovered; based on this analysis, individual authorial methods, applicable to the creation of a unique fashion collection, were developed. For the success of the research the analysis of works of art reffering to the chosen theme was conducted, with the use of certain methods of research: observation, content analysis, comparison and inductive thinking. Following the research, a fashion collection is going to be created and its shooting organised, as well as its promotion in social media. The phenomenon of Digital Body and the character of human interaction with virtual environment is a very current topic for exploration which offers a lot of creative ideas which can be discovered continuously and eventually can lead to the creation of a fashion brand dedicated to the constant search of the limits of Digital Body.
