APACS-Ru – Russian version of APACS (Assessment of Pragmatic Abilities and Cognitive Substrates)

Pragmatic aspects of language, such as humor comprehension and metaphor processing, are rarely assessed in the clinical settings, in contrast to more formal language skills. However, in some diseases (e.g. schizophrenia or right hemisphere brain damage) pragmatic deficits are manifest, decreasing patients’ communicative abilities. The aim of this project is to adapt original Italian APACS (Assessment of Pragmatic Abilities and Cognitive Substrates; Arcara & Bambini, 2016) to the Russian language. This project is a collaboration with the authors of the original test.
