Artem Shadrin Appointed Senior Director for Innovation Policy

Artem Shadrin will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the development and implementation of HSE's policy in innovative and social entrepreneurship, as well as its infrastructure for the development of socially oriented NGOs.

Mr. Shadrin’s responsibilities will include: providing oversight in implementing and facilitating student and faculty innovation projects; coordinating university laboratory and group projects; providing support for collaborative projects between HSE faculties and outside institutions involved in development, business, and non-profit initiatives in order to promote the commercialization of technology; and organizing joint projects in the technological and social sphere.

Artem Shadrin will coordinate the activity of the HSE Innovation Centre, the HSE Innovation and Enterprise Office, the Centre of Innovative Entrepreneurship (HSE University in St. Petersburg), the Nizhny Novgorod Center for Entrepreneurship, and the Business Incubator at HSE University in Perm.

Previously, Artem Shadrin served as Director of the Department of Strategic Development and Innovations of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development. He holds the rank of State Councillor (II class).

Mr. Shadrin has earned numerous accolades over the course of his public service. He holds a medal ‘For Merits before the Fatherland" (II degree), Gratitude of the President and Russian Federation Presidential Certificates of Honour, and honourary certificates of the Ministry of Economic Development and the Federation Council.

Artem Shadrin graduated from the Russian State University for the Humanities with a degree in world economy and a doctoral degree in world economy and international economic relations. He has prior experience working at HSE institutions.
