Beginning March 5, the Mayor of Moscow has declared a state of high alert amid the threat of the novel coronavirus COVID-19.

The HSE administration strongly recommends that employees and students refrain from international travel until quarantine restrictions are lifted. Department heads should inform their international partners of the new security measures being taken in Moscow and recommend that they and their students refrain from travelling to HSE.

Despite the cancellation of this year’s Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), HSE University is continuing its preparations for its annual April International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development (April 6-10), which will primarily be attended by Russian citizens. Adjustments to the conference programme are currently being considered, and international speakers will be invited to make their presentations remotely.
