The project will help participants move towards responsible consumption

ECOin is a new project in the spirit of the previous campaign run by Green HSE, ‘Recycling Points’. It will be held with the support of the HSE Institute of Ecology  and the Environmental Development Technologies platform. ECOin participants will earn points by collecting recyclable waste and win prizes from partners..

The campaign starts on March 9 and will run until April 10. To participate, you need to register. If you wish to receive news updates and information about separate waste collection, follow the project on Instagram.

Unlike the previous campaign, now you can bring recyclable materials to any collection point in any city–simply choose a convenient time and do the tasks to get points. The tasks will be simple: for example, drop off recyclable materials in a blue container or bring batteries to a Vkusville store. Now you are in control of the recycling process yourself, and the organizers will support you in a chat.

Meanwhile, you can start preparing for the campaign: collect waste for blue containers (waste paper, plastic, batteries, glass and metal), miscellaneous items (pens and felt-tip pens, toothbrushes), bags, packaging (Tetra Pak, food containers, disposable dishes) and clothes.

The ECOin project will be useful for those who understand that the whole world is moving towards a responsible lifestyle, starting to separate waste and aiming to learn more about how to consistently and comfortably sort recyclable waste.

This time, the campaign is relevant not only for HSE Moscow, but for all HSE campuses, as well as for everyone interested in other Russian cities. We are building a “green” university community and we look forward to getting more people involved!
