Student Initiatives Assessed by Experts and Public

This year 84 applications were submitted for participation in the competition. Almost 4000 people took part in the first stage of the selection, consisting of expert reviews and public evaluation of the proposals.

For the first time, it was not only HSE students and staff members who took part in the assessment, but anyone interested in good and useful social projects.

According to the rules, the 30 participants who received the most points will be invited to defend their projects before the Fund Council.

The projects that received most points from experts and public include projects on civic education, HSE scientific battles, collecting plastic for recycling in five HSE buildings, Tutor Outreach (tutor volunteers for children in children homes), KeyContest – an Olympiad in applied finance, Keystone – a platform for career development in finance, project fair –  a festival of young entrepreneurs, muzvyshka, Easy finance – video lessons of financial literacy, cultural night, HSE Open - British parliamentary university debate championship, Vyshka Resolve – HSE anti-crisis agency, HSE RUN 17 – a history quest in Moscow, Bridge of cultures – a creative platform for migrant children integration, co-working space at HSE Saint Petersburg, a donor day at HSE, HSE Outreach – a student charity organization, BabyVyshka – a child development room at HSE, intercampus school of tourism, Studdom.com – an online platform to rent accommodation in Moscow for students, and many others.

Four more projects, developed by the students of the project accelerator programme, HSE Business Incubator and available only for participants in the competition, will also take part in the finals.

The next stage of the competition will take place on November 7-8 on 20 Myasnitskaya ul., room 309 at 15.00.
