Students of HSE Faculty of Law Took 2nd Place at FDI Moot 2016
A team from the HSE Faculty of Law, including 3rd and 4th–year law students Alexander Zhdanovich, Ksenia Solovieva, Gayane Gulian and Yulia Dragunova, took second place at the regional finals of the Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot Court Competition, recently held in Poland, Warsaw. Gayane Gulian was also awarded a prize as the second runner-up in the ‘best speaker’ category.
The team would like to thank the administration of the HSE Faculty of Law, Vasily Torkanovskiy, Head of the international law practice group at Ivanyan & Partners, David Wirth, Professor of Law at Boston College Law School in Newton, Massachusetts, the international law firm Quinn Emanuel, and the law firm ‘Saveliev, Batanov and Partners’ for support and help in preparing a successful presentation for the event, as well as Stencom and Hoverbot for their financial support, all of whom helped the team to achieve these outstanding results.
