International Advisory Committee Meets at HSE: 'The University Is Quick to Respond to Recommendations'
Each year, the HSE International Advisory Committee (IAC) meets in Moscow under the leadership of Nobel laureate Eric Maskin. Committee members focus on reorganising the post-graduate school, updating educational and staffing policies, and a number of other important issues.

HSE Rector Yaroslav Kuzminov Appointed Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Council on Legislation
Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin issued instructions to establish a Council on Legislation. Alexander Zhukov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma, and Yaroslav Kuzminov, Rector of the Higher School of Economics, Moscow City Duma Deputy, were appointed his deputies. Pavel Krasheninnikov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State-Building, was appointed Executive Secretary of the Council.
International Council Recognizes HSE as Leader in Project 5-100
The Higher School of Economics was recognized as a leader among Project 5-100 universities following a recent session held by the Council on Competitiveness Enhancement of Leading Russian Universities among Global Research and Education Centers. The session took place in Yekaterinburg on October 27-28 and was chaired by Olga Golodets, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia.

Construction of HSE Sports Centre to Start in October 2017
The Centre will include a swimming pool, a climbing wall, a gym, as well as dedicated space for basketball, tennis, badminton and other sports. The plan is to build the three-storey venue of almost 12,000 sq.m in under two years.
