Honorary Academic Supervisor

Dear friends,

I often think about the most interesting things in life. And I recall that the happiest moments in my life were connected with discoveries. They didn’t necessarily have to be momentous ones. You just come up with a good idea that allows you to take a fresh look at a problem you are constantly thinking about – a problem that needs to be solved. This discovery, this insight if you will, is real science; this is what it exists for. To make discoveries, to stimulate ideas, you need to know a lot. And you also need to learn to take delight in the ideas that came to other people's minds, those who were engaged in science before us. Knowledge is also necessary for other activities. But I prefer science. I urge you to not let this opportunity pass you by. Perhaps you’re the one with an inclination to make discoveries.

I wish you success!
