HSE Centre for Scholarly Integration Team

Centre for Scholarly Integration is a wonderful project that I was able to launch and am currently working on under the guidance of Maria Yudkevich, HSE Vice Rector. Our aim is to create favorable environment for professional development of university researchers. Our team develops and coordinates HSE University Russian Postdoc Fellowship Programme, organizes events for students to show them the way into science, create a platform for intellectual exchange between research labs and students to start a new research projects.

My background is linguistics and translation studies. I did my PhD on the interface of translation studies and pedagogy. Being a student I dreamt of translating for the President) But when I started to be a translator and interpreter I realized that translating other people's thoughts was not as interesting as I’d thought It could be. For more than ten years I was working as a teacher of English and was teaching translation at Tomsk Polytechnic University. At the same time, I was doing projects at the Office of Vice Rector for Research and Innovation. My responsibilities have always been about creating communities and connecting people with new subjects, new countries, new cultures, as well as connecting people with each other in educational and research projects. Management and administration of research is a wonderful opportunity to put these objectives into practice. I am very glad when I am able to "match" colleagues from different fields and as a result we get an interesting and useful project.

When I have a day off, the best way for me to relax is to drive a car with my friends and discover a new city or at least a new place in Moscow. I can stop wherever I want and where it is beautiful. If there is snow, which I love very much, doing winter activities such as skiing, sledding, bunting, snowmobiling help me to restart and get filled up with new ideas for life and work.

I am an analyst at the Center for Scholarly Integration of HSE University. At the Centre, I create and organize projects and events for students to help them integrate into university science and develop research competencies. I also make analytical reports and help colleagues with the Russian Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme.

I have a Bachelor's degree in History and a Master's degree in Digital Humanities. I began my administrative career being MA Student in my Alma Mater – Tomsk State University – as an assistant of the Department of International AffairsThen I was working at Tomsk Polytechnic University as an expert at the Department for Research Intelligence and Publications. I came to HSE University in 2019 and I am very happy about it!

The university environment is full of various opportunities which encourage me to take part in a lot of activities: working and studying, creating projects, improving new skills, meeting interesting people. I enjoy making useful and ambitious projects.

In my spare time, I like doing music, road tripping, camping (in summer), and mountain-skiing (in winter).😊

At the Centre for Scholarly Integration of HSE University I am a junior coordinator of Russian Postdoctoral Fellowship Program. There are many processes in our work, including competition procedure and events for Russian postdocs as well as research of postdoctoral programs in Russia and abroad.

I graduated from HSE University in 2017 (Bachelor of Journalism) and 2019 (Master of Arts, Cultural Studies). I am currently a PhD student at HSE Art and Design School. In 2017 I started my job as a project manager of MA programme “Creative Writing”, in 2019 I became a manager at the Centre for Scholarly Integration. All my experience gained at HSE University helps me in my work. I like being manager, teacher, and student at the same time, although it’s quite complicated.

What is most interesting in my work is a possibility to explore and get to know something new – people coming to HSE University from all over Russia and abroad, their research fields, new possibilities of organizing events inside university. I love analyzing information and developing new events based on this analysis.

If I have some time to rest, I like traveling and learning foreign languages. It helps me to see everything from another point of view. Ordinary becomes extraordinary.
