Within the framework of the International Youth Dialogue “Voice of the Future”, a project implemented by the School of Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University, with the support of the Russian Middle East Association, the fourth international online round table “Challenges for young people in today's realities” was held.

On February 21, 2022 the School of International Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University, within the framework of the permanent online seminars “Contemporary Area Studies”, organised a meeting with MBA from the University of Chicago, Ph.D. in Economics, a specialist in socio-economic development of India Alexander Lopatin.

On February 15, the School of International Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs of the HSE University held a round table “The role of youth in the post-COVID world: positive and negative trends”, within the framework of the International Youth Dialogue “The Voice of the Future”.

On February 2, 2022 the School of International Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University, within the framework of the permanent online seminars “Contemporary Area Studies”, organised a meeting with the visiting lecturer of the School of International Regional Studies, Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University Dr. Ksenia Spitsyna.

On January 27, 2022, the School of International Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University, within the framework of the permanent online seminars “Contemporary Area Studies”, organised a meeting with Dr. Amur Gadzhiev, correspondent of the Turkish edition of the Sputnik news agency, lecturer at the Russian State University for the Humanities, candidate of historical sciences.  The topic of the meeting: “The main features of Turkey's foreign policy at the present stage.”

On December 23, 2021, the School of International Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University within the framework of the permanent online seminar "Contemporary Area Studies", held a meeting with Dr. Anna Ayvazyan, Associate Professor, Research Fellow at the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

On April, 15, 2021 The School of International Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University together with the Russian Middle East Association, Provincial Youth Assembly Pakistan and Kateb Educational and Cultural  Association in Russian Federation hold a round table “The Role of Youth in Achieving the 17 UN SDGs: Afghanistan – Egypt – Pakistan – Russia”.

On April, 6, 2021 the School of International Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University, together with the Russian Middle East Association within the framework of the permanent online seminar «Contemporary area studies», organized the meeting dedicated to the 10^th anniversary of Arab Spring with Igor Matveev, Senior Researcher of the CAIS of the Institute of Oriental Studies the Russian Academy of Sciences, RIAC expert, Acting State Councilor of the Russian Federation, 3rd class. The topic was: "The conflict in Syria: a consequence of the "Arab Spring" or the "brainchild" of external actors?»

On March, 23, 2021 the School of International Regional Studies of the Faculty ofWorld Economy and International Affairs, HSE University, together with the RussianMiddle East Association within the framework of the permanent online seminar«Contemporary area studies», organized the meeting dedicated to the 10^thanniversary of Arab Spring with the chef editor web-based media "MK in Turkey" and the author of the telegram channel "Agenda of Turkey" Yashar Niyazbayev.The topic was: «The consequences of the «Arab Spring» for Turkey».

On March, 25, 2021 the School of International Regional Studies of the Faculty ofWorld Economy and International Affairs, HSE University, together with the RussianMiddle East Association within the framework of the permanent online seminar«Contemporary area studies», organized the meeting dedicated to the 10^thanniversary of Arab Spring with Svetlana Babenkova, Senior Researcher at the Center for Arab and Islamic Studies of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The topic was «The economic situation of the Arab countries: 10 years after the events of the "Arab Spring": whether it will still be…».

On March, 17, 2021 the School of International Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University, within the framework of the permanent online seminar «Contemporary area studies», organized the meeting with Vera Vishnyakova, Head of the School of International Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University and with Deputy Head of the School of International Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University - Evgeny Kanaev.

On February, 15, 2021 the School of International Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University, together with the Russian Middle East Association within the framework of the permanent online seminar «Contemporary area studies», organized the meeting dedicated to the 10th anniversary of Arab Spring with the expert of the "Valdai Discussion Сlub" Farhad Ibrahimov. The topic was: "The impact of the events of the «Arab Spring» on Iran: 10 years later».

On February 17, 2021 the School of International Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University, together with the Russian Middle East Association within the framework of the permanent online seminar «Contemporary area studies», organized the second meeting dedicated to the 10th anniversary of Arab Spring with a Deputy head of the Joint Department of the Institute of Oriental studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs,HSE University Grigory Lukyanov. The topic of the meeting was: «The Arab Spring» in Libya: 10 years later»

On November 10, the School of International Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University organized the II Student Conference named after Hussein Ajjawi “The Palestinian-Israeli Conflict: Past and Present”. For the first time in two years, the conference was held in the online format, which allowed a large number of participants and guests from different countries to join it.
