In June, 28 at the seminar of the International SEL of sociocultural research were discussed the results of last summer school devoted to the measurement of values and socio-economic behavior. Seminar participants had the opportunity to watch the videos of interviews conducted with foreign experts who participated in the summer school.

On June 23 the HSE building at Pokrovsky Boulevard hosted an international mini-conference, organized by the International Laboratory of socio-cultural research, "Research Frontiers of Culture and Psychological Processes".

I International Summer School “Values and Socio-Economical Behavior: Cross-cultural Dimensions and Explanatory Models” was held on 17-21 June in the holiday hotel “Klyazma” near Moscow. Research fellows and trainee researchers of the international laboratory, lecturers and researchers, students and PhD students of HSE participated in the Summer School. The heads and leading researchers of the international laboratory (S. Schwartz, P. Schmidt, N.M. Lebedeva, V.I. Chirkov, A.N. Tatarko) and professors from foreign universities – leading specialists in cross-cultural psychology – were lecturers and scientific consultants in the summer school. English was working language.

A trainee researcher of the International Laboratory of Socio-Cultural Research Aram Fomichev made the presentation called ''Potential of on-line games for socio-psychological experiments'' on 15^th June.

The chief researcher of the International Laboratory of Socio-Cultural Research, Associate professor of Department of Psychology in Saskatchevan University PhD Valery Chirkov presented his work on 31^st May within the Laboratory research seminar. The presentation “Cross-cultural Studies of Autonomy and Self-determination of Human Behavior” was devoted to the results of the research project “Parent and Teacher Autonomy support in Russian and US adolescents”.

The Head of the Laboratory for Experimental and Behavioural Economics, Associate professor of ICEF PhD Alexis Belianin made a presentation “Factors of cooperative behaviour in experimental games” within the scientific seminar on 12^th May. Besides the research workers of the International Scientifical-Educational Laboratory of Socio-Cultural Research and the guests of the seminar the research workers of the Laboratory of Comparative Social Studies from St. Petersburg took part in videoconference.

The senior researcher of the International Laboratory of Socio-Cultural Research Victoria Galyapina made a presentation called “Challenges of the youth upbringing in the North Caucasus in context of Islamic education” on 26th April.

The Co-Head of the International Laboratory of Socio-Cultural Research Peter Schmidt made a presentation “Inglehart and Schwartz approaches in comparison: measurements and theoretical predictions” within the scientific seminar “Culture matters” on 11th April.

The first workshop “Culture matters” of The International Scientifical-Educational Laboratory of Socio-Cultural Research took place on 15^th March in Higher School of Economics. The guest of this workshop was Don W. Prince, the director of The Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) in CIS.
