The article by Andrei Yakovlev and Anton Aisin "Friends or Foes? The Effect of Governor-Siloviki Interaction on Economic Growth in Russian Regions" was published in the 4th volume of the Russian Politics (RUPO).

51st Annual Convention of Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies was held in San Francisco (USA) on November 23-26, 2019. ICSID staff members Andrei Yakovlev, Ekaterina Borisova, Israel Marques, Amanda Zadorian and Guzel Gariffulina as well as ICSID associate fellows Michael Rochlitz and Alexander Libman took part in the convention.

Experts from the ISSEK Centre for Business Tendencies Studies (CBTS) presented the results of a pilot project to measure digital activity of Russian industrial and retail companies at the 9th Joint EC/OECD Workshop (14-15 November 2019, Paris, France).

On November 26 Tuchina Oksana Roaldovna (Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor, Kuban State Technological University) took part in the "Culture matters" research seminar with the report "The psychological aspect of self-understanding of national identity in the context of historical experience in the post-Soviet space".

From November 21 to 23, members of the laboratory attended the 16th Conference on Typology and Grammar for Young Scholars which was held in Saint Petersburg.

A ‘Mega-Grant’ Competition for ground-breaking research projects funded by the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education was held for the seventh time, and this year’s competition winners included two projects that will be based at HSE University campuses. One research group will study dynamic systems at HSE – Nizhny Novgorod, and a new social neurobiology laboratory will begin work at HSE University in Moscow.
