International Center for the Study of Institutions and Development (ICSID) invites you to its 6th Annual Conference “Political Economy of Development: Exiting the Middle Income Trap”and EACES-HSE workshop “Topics in Political Economy of Development”.

HSE has started recruitment for post-doctoral positions for the next academic year. International Center for the Study of Institutions and Development (ICSID) has proposed 5 research topics for post-doc fellows - social capital, network analysis, economic history, collective action, and political economy of development.

The project is initiated as collaboration between the Research Centre for East European Studies of the University of Bremen (FSO), Göttingen State and University Library (SUB) and supported with the grant from the German Research Council (DFG).

Laboratory of Algorithms and Technologies for Network Analysis (LATNA), which belongs to the National Research University Higher School of Economics, entered into a collaboration agreement with one of the biggest international companies KPMG, which performs consulting and audit services. The collaboration implies cooperative work on projects for the Russian and international markets, which require mastery in intellectual data analysis, computer-aided instruction and solution for complex optimization tasks.

On 3^rd November International Center for the Study of Institutions and Development, Laboratory for Labor Market Studies and Centre for Labour Market Studies held the joint seminar, where the paper «Dynamics of Inequality and Convergence after Transition – Evidence from Russia» was presented.

On October 8-22 associate professor at the Ecole Centrale Marseille (France) Thibaut Le Gouic read the mini-course "Metric geometry and optimal transport"
