Online simulator Gopractice introduced into HSE educational process for the first time
Students of the Data-Driven Communication program are starting a key course in Data-Driven Product Management. As part of this course, a unique practice for Russian universities is implemented - the best online simulator Gopractice is introduced into the educational process.
GoPractice Simulator is the first and leading product manager career simulator in Russia. This format was invented, developed and created by Oleg Yakubenkov (Yandex, MSQRD, Facebook, Joom), the founder and ideologist of the largest community for product management in Russia. More than 5000 managers of the largest Russian companies have passed its simulator since its inception. The simulator prepares for real life, not hypothetical situations. It immerses in real life a product manager and analyst in a company where complex situations and questions arise constantly, and the student needs to recognize them and make a decision. Companies (for example, the major provider Selectel) have made this course mandatory for everyone in the company who makes product decisions. For the first time among Russian universities, the master's program "Data-Driven Communications" has introduced such a progressive teaching format into the educational process. “It's great when the academic and business worlds come together in education: we are happy to be pioneers in this process,” emphasizes Oleg Yakubenkov.
Students about Gopractice
“We have GoPractice in conjunction with training sessions,” says Alexander Sokolov, a 1st year student of the Data-Based Communications program, who is engaged in streaming in a video streaming service specializing in computer games. - This is my first time learning with an online simulator and managing a product based on analytics and real-time data. In general, it is very informative, in parallel, if you don’t know something, you immediately search and find out, all the definitions are in go practice - this is very convenient. The teacher Maxim Godzi is also worth mentioning, he is a real professional, he tells the material in an accessible way and takes into account the different profile and level of the members of our group. At the moment we have already “solved” 4 chapters, now we have a Journal Club (the format in which students analyze GoPractice material, finding alternative solutions to cases from the simulator - author's note) until the end of the module.

Therefore, in addition to GoPractice, I added equally important components - analysis of cases and practices on my part, this is given in the format of live work on business models, discussions of key metrics of the unit economy of products, analysis of differences between different types of business models and types of products."
