Important Dates for an International Applicant

Step 1 —  Submit an Application Form

• Applications can be submitted during two windows:
  • Preliminary application period: April 20 – June 19, 2026
  • Main application period: June 20 – August 3, 2026 (deadline: 18:00 Moscow time)
• During the main application period, applications must be submitted via RU ID (if you are outside Russia) the Unified Portal of State and Municipal Services (EPGU / Госуслуги) (if you are in Russia). During the preliminary period, applications are submitted through ASAV. 
  Please note: Applicants whose applications were approved during the preliminary application period are still required to re-submit their application via RU ID or the Unified Portal of State and Municipal Services (EPGU / Госуслуги). Upon receipt of the application through these services, the scores received during the preliminary selection will be automatically assigned to such applicants.
• Registration instructions and the required attachments can be found here.
• In your application form, select the "Master of Finance" program.
• The deadline to upload your portfolio is also August 3, 2026 at 17:00 Moscow time.
• Once fully completed, click "Submit application" at the bottom of the form. Please note this action is final and cannot be reversed.

Step 2 —  Application Evaluation

• Your application will be reviewed by the admissions committee. Evaluation criteria are available here.
• For master's programs, the review period is up to 2 weeks. If additional documents are required, the process may take longer.
• You may be contacted by a program manager to arrange an interview.
• The committee's decision will appear in your personal account:
  ♦ Recommended for admission to a fee-paying place
  ♦ Denied — you are welcome to apply next year

Step 3 —  Enrolment

• If the committee's decision is positive, confirm your offer by August 5, 2026 at 12:00 Moscow time in your personal account.
• After your confirmation, the HSE team will contact you with enrolment details.
• Contracts and tuition payment must be completed by August 17, 2026 at 18:00 Moscow time. Ranked lists are formed on August 18–19, with the official enrolment order issued on August 20, 2026.
• Visa invitation: Please note that getting visa invitation for online master students is impossible.
• We strongly recommend reviewing the HSE International Student Support website if you have any questions or difficulties.
