Innovation modes of knowledge-intensive business services in Russia

At the 11th International Forum on the Development of Intellectual Assets (IFKAD 2016, Dresden, Germany, June 15-17, 2016), Veronika Belousova presented a paper 'Innovation modes of knowledge-intensive business services in Russia' prepared jointly with Nikolay Chichkanov

Knowledge-intensive business services (KIBS) market attracts attention of the researchers all over the world due to its high added value. Moreover, according to the studies, this sector can become a driver for the innovative development of particular regions. The goal of the following research paper was to identify innovative “strategies” of the production companies of the KIBS market in Russia. A proper classification of the companies in this sector can help in making future high-quality decisions about measures of government funding.

The authors identified 13 innovative “types” of behavior among the companies in the KIBS market in Russia. The results indicate a high heterogeneity of the following sector and the need for further in-depth analysis of the innovation activities of the companies in order to identify homogeneous groups among them.
