‘University Life in Partnership with Artificial Intelligence’
HSE University is one of the leaders in IT education and research in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). Thanks to this, the university recently received the highest grant of the Priority 2030 programme. The integration of AI technologies into education is set to become a strategic direction for the university’s development over the next five years. What changes are coming to HSE University in this regard and how they will affect students and teachers? These issues were discussed at a meeting of HSE University’s Academic Council on December 20.
An Economics and Engineering Approach to Energy Supply Development in Remote Areas of Russia
Ilya Dolmatov, Director of the HSE Institute of Economics and Utility Regulation, heads a Mirror Lab project titled ‘Models of Energy Infrastructure Development in Russia’s Remote and Isolated Territories’ and implemented together with a university in Irkutsk. Why is energy efficiency a particularly pressing problem in remote territories? How can economics and engineering work together to solve it? HSE University Announces Results of Mirror Labs 2022 Competition
The Mirror Labs research project competition is aimed at HSE University departments that are planning to conduct joint studies with other Russian universities and research centres. The competition is now in its third year. A total of 19 academic organisations from 14 regions of Russia submitted applications as partners of HSE University, including 9 organisations participating for the first time.
A workshop for professionals in the sphere of evaluation in Bangkok
Bangkok, October 30-31. - Within the framework of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), a seminar was held to promote and develop a community of evaluation professionals. Participation in the event was received by Ilya Dolmatov, director of the Institute for Problems of Pricing and Regulation of Natural Monopolies of the Higher School of Economics.
HSE Experts to Take Part in Benchmarking Energy Efficiency in Cities
On May 18th, 2017, an Eco-energy Town Workshop took place in Seoul under the auspices of the South Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. As part of the session ‘Opportunities and problems of building energy-efficient cities’, Ilya Dolmatov, Director of the HSE Institute of Pricing and Regulation of Natural Monopolies, gave a presentation on ‘Energy efficient cities in Russia: priorities and challenges for the future’.

Seoul, May 18th. - The conference "Eco-energy Town Workshop" took place in Seol under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea. The event was attended by scientists and experts from the Republic of Korea, China, the Netherlands, France, Indonesia.
HSE Builds Cooperation with Malta in Energy, Innovations and Education
On 22 September 2014 the Higher School of Economics hosted a delegation of young representatives of the public sector, science and business from Malta, headed by Aaron Farrugia, CEO of Malta Freeport Corporation Ltd. Among other members of the delegation were Christopher Cutajar, Secretary of the Fgura Local Council, Roderick Formosa, First Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malta and Law professor at the University of Malta, and Joseph Muscat, Head of the Research Laboratory of Malta.
